Let boldness be thy friend

Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of designing a tattoo, inspired by the contents of a novel I've written, which in turn was inspired by a 12th century legend, and so I thought given the time period, Latin might be appropriate; alas my Latin skills are non existent, hence this post.

The phrase I am thinking of is the Shakespeare inspired..."Let boldness be thy(your) friend"

Thanking you in advance

Where did Shakespeare say something similar? Just so I can have a look at the context.

If she be furnished with a mind so rare,
She is alone the Arabian bird, and I
Have lost the wager. Boldness be my friend!
Arm me, audacity. (1.6.17)

From my perspective, it would be a daily reminder not to let opportunities slip by due to timidness or a lack of confidence, i.e. be bold - a variation on carpe diem if you will )

On reflection, the let might be superfluous
