Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could help me with the translation of the word mollitia. I came across it when researching translations relating to resilience; but am wary of Google results.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for your response :).

I like the meanings: softness, tenderness

But am wary of the others: susceptibility; weakness, irresolution; effeminacy, voluptuousness, wantonness

To add some context, I was originally searching for a word similar to resilience in regard to possible tattoo; however stumbling upon Mollitia - I became very intrigued and felt the first two definitions were lovely.

Are there any similar words that focus more on the softness and tenderness aspect?

I don't know if it may help, but the word seems to be cognate with the Portuguese word "moleza", which means softness. They seem to be the abstract noun that describes the quality of being "mole" (Portuguese for "soft"), which came from latin "mollis".
