The Silent Service

The US Navy's submarine force is also known as the Silent Service. How would this translate to Latin? This is for artwork that I am creating for sailors in that community.

I am not sure if there is such adjective as silent| -us -um -a (more likely silens)
not sure if officium silens conveys meanig of silent service ( military force operating stealthily / undetectable / clandestinely etc.)
I would personally translate "Silent Service" as qui clam operantur

the citations in the OLD are Matius and Laevius (both quoted by Gellius).
