Regarding Franck's Panis Angelicus

I was wondering why Franck's version as popularly performed by e.g. Pavarotti introduces "cœlicus" instead of Aquinas' "caelicus", and what the pronunciation of Franck's variant is based upon? We're performing this with my church choir, and I'd like to use as correct a form as possible.

    Kind regards,

In ecclesiastical Latin the two variants are pronounced in the same way. See here, for example.
