Can someone please help me translate this "the strong do not surrender/give up in adversity"?

I want to tattoo it on my arm so I'd love to have it correct.. lol

    Hello,

I would say fortes rebus adversis non cedunt.

Can someone please help me translate these sentences:

1 The strong do not give up in adversity
2 Even the most beautiful flower grew from dirt

You've already gotten a translation for the first one:

    For the second one, perhaps:
Etiam pulcherrimus flos e caeno crevit.

Wait for other suggestions or improvements first.
