I'm not sure even Rees-Mogg would dare to utter 'be'. But you can't use it and then write 'yeah'. There's a law.

In my defense, I didn't use it, which was the very reason why Hemo Rusticus corrected me.

I suppose "yea" would be more fitting. ;)

Sounds right awful but what's the meaning of 'halters' here?

I'm sure that halter here refers to the strap arrangement placed on a horse's head in order to tie or lead the horse. A halter can also refer to a hangman's noose, but that doesn't fit the context.

No, I was only joking; nobody would ever unironically/unaffectedly say 'be'.

My Latin was supposed to be stylish in omitting verbs a-plenty, like loqui/scribere/legere. Like Dante's piú non posso.

So then I says, "Halter?! I haadly knew 'er!"
    Thank you, thank you.

Just picked up a couple The Animals albums and they're stellar!

Mein Kerl, check out 'Prisoner of the Light' off of Ark, holy smokes, man, listen to him howl!

Not overly keen on that one but the animals did some belters in their time. Do you have any suggestions on a par with BBNG (the one you linked a while back). Loved that. Or any bands out there now replicating the stooges sound? Big ask I know.

Well, partly I was blown away by the generic (as in genre) tone. On the same album they've got even got a reggae track! Weird, wild stuff.

What BBNG tune was that, Velvet? I'll have to mull it over, but I did just see an up-and-coming jazz trio led by one Galen Bundy. They played a couple jams with a similar darkness. Only he was on the Nord electric, which made '23 North' sound much better (http://www.galenbundy.com/pianotrio).
Reminds me I should pick up their (first) CD.

Amazing what you can do with only a cello and a banjo.

Dantius and Hemo Rusticus like this.

Damn it if the banjo isn't a sound as sweet as they come.

    And everybody said,
