Hi guys

This is the last lot of translations i will have to do because I am nearly at the end of my unit!

I do not feel very confident with these so let me know what I need to look at. I am very concerned about my verbs!

1) May the daring young woman not attack Spartacus with a spear.
audax puella Spartacus cum hasta ne oppugnetur.

2) Let the small dog not be bitten by that hairy farmer
paruus canis eo hirsuto agricola non mordetur

I know both are subjunctive so I am hoping I am on the right track...

Last 3! I am very worried about number 4 haha and I feel like the word order in number 5 is wrong.

3) May the god save the queen of the barbarians
deus reginae barbarorum serutur

3. Check the case of regina. "serutur" doesn't make sense.
4. You need a word for "although". "spectaverit" is "saw", not "had been seen". You need a word for "into".
Also you forgot to translate "in the Subura".
5. Check the case of "his militibus", and "vaccae", and "reginam".
"dare vaccae reginam" means "give the queen to the cow".
In Latin, you don't use an infinitive (dare) to express purpose. You use "ut" with the subjunctive, or "qui".

Legati venerunt ut pacem peterent — Ambassadors came to seek peace.
Caesar legatos misit qui pacem peterent — Caesar sent ambassadors to seek peace.

You don't need a "cum".
Why is "oppugnetur" passive?

2. You actually do need an "ab" before the farmer.
"eo" seems like not the best word choice, "illo" would be better.
"mordetur" is not subjunctive. Check the forms.

Thanks for the feedback, apologies I am typing from my phone so there may be some grammar issues!

1) Spartacum and oppugnent - would these be better answers?

Spartacum, yes. "oppugnet", though (singular)

You just turned it into a completely different verb! All you had to do was add one letter to "mordetur".

3) reginae and seruetur - sorry these were both typos! I wrote them correctly in my notebook then typed them wrong! Are these better?

4) I knew I had problems here! Can I use "cum" for although? Would that then mean "seen" needs to be subjunctive? Spectavisset? Is pluperfect correct?

It's supposed to be "to the villa" I must have typed it wrong. I'll rewrite it again so you can tell me if it looks better...
