I would like to translate Hypocrisy: Society's Greatest Virtue.
The context of it is basically saying that Hypocrisy is the greatest virtue of society.

If possible, I'd like to maintain the format with the colon.

= "Hypocrisy, the highest virtue of the people."

Societas applies to the partnership of a particular group or association. To talk about the grouping of the whole populace requires something different. Populus has a larger range.

Besides word choice as syntaxianus pointed out, you reversed the nominative and the genitive. societas magnae virtutis means "a society of great virtue". magna virtus societatis would mean (unidiomatically) "a great virtue of society" or "society's great virtue". And you need maxima instead of magna.

It would be just as good to say hypocrisis: suprema virtus populi instead of using simulatio right (just because hypocrisis sounds much more like hypocrisy)?
