Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone knows any idiomatic phrases in Latin that would correspond to the idioms above (they seem to be roughly equivalent in English to me).

More generally - does anyone know of a good resource for Latin idioms?

Thanks!

It would be hard to go past Erasmus' Adagia. Here is a book which discusses Latin proverbs, largely taken from Erasmus.

For a more modern reference you could try The Routledge Dictionary of Latin Quotations.

For the initial question, what about quid plura or ad rem?

ad rem seems to work decently here, Thanks!

Also, thanks for the proverbs book - a great resource!
