I am struggling to figure out why it is delato rather than delatum. Does anyone have any ideas?

I find it is a lot more difficult to read excerpts rather than just the whole thing...

Then we are lucky that Vergil, with his prophetic genius, foresaw the existence of English translations so that readers 2,000 years after his time would be able to appreciate the full work without the burden of reading 12 whole books of Latin.


(of course I am just being silly with this whole thing, it's always better to read the whole work in Latin )
