Hello
I have a question about this line from the Metamorphoses, 2:489:
a quotiens sola non ausa quiescere silva
I scanned it thus:
-uu -- -- -uu -uu -x
Is this correct? Look at the strange result from this site, which seems to elide the i in quiescere. Is that possible? http://schediazein.altervista.org/Metron/Site/Result.php
Sorry if I have misplaced the thread.
Some context:
a! quotiens, sola non ausa quiescere silva,
ante domum quondamque suis erravit in agris!
a! quotiens per saxa canum latratibus acta est
venatrixque metu venantum territa fugit!
It is about Callisto, transformed into a bear.
