Greetings,
Today I am kindly asking for the translation of the phrase above, as in a website in Google I had been given the translation of " A TRUE FRIEND IS DISCOVERED IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY"
but I had a thouhgt about it and im not sure it is the proper translation.
If it is not the proper translation of the phrase above I would be greatful if you would provide me the right translation of it.

THANK YOU!

Hi,

The Latin in the thread title has many typos. It should be amicus certus in re incerta cernitur.

The translation that you've found conveys the essential meaning accurately. However, the Latin is playing on the opposition between certus, "certain", and incerta, "uncertain" and I was wondering if we mightn't find a way to carry that across in translation, maybe by saying something like "The certainty of someone's friendship is revealed in times of uncertainty" or "You can become certain of someone's friendship only in times of uncertainty".
