Please help me translate the following from English to Latin:
Can a horse run more swiftly than a man?

Potestne equum celerius quam hominem currere?
But this translation has no nominative subject.

Potestne equus celerius quam homo currere?
Can I put the conjunctive quam homo in the infinitive phrase?

Potestne equum celerius currere quam hominem?
But again no nominative subject.

I'm not sure which of these is correct.

What do you mean by Anglicism? The 'can' in there?
Or is this some kind of phrase/ rhetorical question that you use in every day speech in English? Like "Does the Pope shit in the woods?" (meaning yes!!) ... I haven't heard that phrase before in a regular conversation.

Note that currere technically does not belong to quam homo but that it depends on potest and is in the infinitive because of that (you could also write the currere before quam homo).
If you wanted to add a verb to the quam homo part, it would have to be finite: potestne equus celerius currere quam homo currit? (In the same way you would or could say "Can a horse run faster than a man runs" in English) or potestne equus celerius currere quam homo [currere] potest? ("Can a horse run faster than a man can [run]")
But just like in English, this is not necessary in Latin.

Hmmm... It could be that the "can" is kind of idiomatic here, but I'm not sure. I'd say you can omit it in Latin but it's probably not wrong to include it, either.
