I know that the verbs colo, alo and foveo can be used but I am looking for the adjetive, the closer I found is caro but I think that it is not the exact correct word.
Please help.

I would say you need to use the passive participle of a verb like foveo, in other words the fourth principle part listed in a dictionary, meaning having been cherished or cherished. This can be used as an adjective.
