Trimalchio dixit:
Agite inquit scordaliās dē mediō
Yet another question ;) Is aliquid de medio agere a phrase that we could use generally for "stop the aliquid"?

It would be a useful phrase in my house ;)

tollere de medio is not uncommon for "to do away with" or "to kill". I've never seen agere de medio before.

By "to do away with", I assume you mean the euphemism for murder?

I have seen ē mediō abiit in Terence. If we take e medio / de medio to mean, from life/the living, can we extend it generally to mean stop do you think, or is this a peculiarity of Trimalchio?
