A certain amount of wit should be necessary to warrant a Latin translation for an insult. If all you want is plain, vulgar expression, there is no use in saying it in an ancient, refined language.

If a Classical/Medieval author has said it, it deserves an exception.

Another exception is naivete. Someone who receives a gift with a vulgar expression on it in a language they do not know deserves to know what it means. It is easier to claim naivete in Latin to English than vice versa. If your vulgar expression is ungrammatical, your answer might be limited to "it appears to mean XXX, but it is ungrammatical."

Also vulgarities in English do not necessarily translate well to Latin. In particular, the f* word was not used as an intensifier. See THREAD: #9254
