We are given a complete explanation of all the symbols, but the transcription of the Latin motto is not correct (character V misinterpreted as A).. The motto reads as follows:
EIS SERVIRE QUI SERVIVERUNT, i. e. to do a service to those who did a service <to us>. = Of service to those who served
