Hello, and thank you for your interest. My name is Gavin, and I am an advocate of direct democracy.
I am doing some political writings for newer democracy models, and I am looking for a word to describe a constitutional body. This body's sole purpose would be to continually recommend changes to help balance, in its considered opinion, the two halves of a democratic symbiocracy. By symbiocracy, I mean to say, a government whose power resides half in elected/appointed representatives of the voters; and the other half in direct voting for referenda/initiatives/propositions by the voters themselves.
I am looking for a single word, in the spirit of "Senate". I have phrases in English, but Romans (and Greeks..) have had such a profound influence on democracy that I consider Latin an appropriate nod to history.
So, is anyone able to blend:
[Assembly, Convocation, Congress] + [Nurturers, Overseers, Vigilants] + [Democracy, Balance, Equal Power]
into a single word?
thanks again!
