I know roughly the first two phrases, still im having much trouble finding translation for this song.

its a song by Handel- Haec est Regina Virginum

here is the lyrics
Haec est Regina Virginum
Quae genuit Regem velut Rosa decora.
Virgo Dei genitrix per quam reperimus Deum et hominem
alma Virgo intercede pro nobis

if you like listening to baroque and some soprano, its good song. I hope somebody please help translate for me, Thankyou in advance for trying, even if not 100%

This is the Queen of Virgins,
who gave birth to the King like a beautiful rose.
Virgin Mother of God, through whom we find God and man
Nourishing mother, intercede for us

This is a very rough translation because I am still learning Latin; I am sure someone else will come along and provide a better translation

It looks ok to me, except that it's "virgin" in the last line, not "mother".

Hi BruceWayne - agreed, it's a beautiful piece! I'm surprised more people don't sing it. The final line, as Patricia said, is "nourishing" or "gentle Virgin", not Mother - "Genitrix" is "mother" in the previous line, which involves both words.
