I'm just looking to do a somewhat heraldic logo for my blacksmith shop, and 'Hit it with a hammer' seems appropriate.

I like that one better because attempting to translate the 'it' always feels clumsy.

Btw. you could also say malleo tundatur if your a blacksmith (which is a slightly more smith-specific word).
