HOW TO WRITE YOUR TRANSLATION REQUEST

1. DO NOT POST YOUR REQUEST HERE. If you do, it will be deleted.
2. Put the first line of what you want translated in the subject box.
3. In the body of the request:
a) State what you intend to use the translation for.
b) Elaborate on what it means to you. Many words can be interpreted in several ways. We need some context to make sure you get the correct translation.
c) Be polite. If you type nothing other than the phrase to be translated, you may be ignored.
d) If you have never studied Latin, do not tell us how much you love the language. We are unlikely to be impressed.
e) No matter how tempted you may be, do not under any circumstances post the refuse from an online translator. If you have a translation already, please indicate the source you are using.

You can find more tips on writing your request here.

No, it should say may, as another possibility is that they will be flamed.

As a follow-up to this. If you use an online translator to check a translation given to you by one of our members, you can expect to be flamed. It is quite insulting, as they are invariably wrong.
