Source: Caesar Completlely Parsed (Book 1) The online link is in Resources for De Bello Gallico, the thread written by our forum member bedtime.
P191-192 I am stumbled while reading the notes. Line 2 Pugnatum est....here ...is strictly an impersonal verb=it was fought;but as it is here a verb of complete prediction with proelio,it may be rendered as if proelio were proelium. So the question is what is a verb of complete prediction? Posse and esse are verbs of complete prediction.

Quote Such is the true Norm of Predication: that the simple sentence contains a subject and a finite verb. This general truth is not overthrown by the following frequent exceptions. Predication is without a subject expressed.
1) when Pronoun Subjects are implied in the verbs
2) in some of the construction called Impersonal. unquote
These exceptions seemed to be called verbs of complete predication.
Thanks.
