Love If only I had an enemy bigger than my apathy I could have won"

Hello. First, if you are reading this and will translate, I appreciate your time and attention more than I can say.
I would like an english to latin translation of the following Mumford and Sons lyrics:

"If only I had an enemy bigger than my apathy
I could have won"

My son is serving in the military. His girlfriend sent him these words in a letter, saying how much she loves them and that it is how she felt about joining the military, and why she didn't do it. I do machine embroidery, and he has asked me to create something personal for her upcoming Christmas present, so I want to put this in latin on a pillow or throw blanket for him to give her. And yes, I do see the dichotomy of an active duty military person giving a latin phrase such as this to someone he loves, at Christmas, of all times...but we do what we can for those whom we love.

And again, thank you for reading this, and hopefully translating it. If you have any questions (I read the forum rules, etc and tried to put any info I thought pertinent...and then some) I will check back.

Hi,

Maybe: si mihi esset hostis torpore meo maior, vincere poteram.
