Is "Homo rationalis mysticus" sound?

In my sci-fi novel, I've given the scientific name of Homo rationalis mysticus to a future human species, is this grammatically sound?

So there is a species of genus Homo called rationalis = "rational man." Presumably this is a close relative of Homo sapiens, but cannot mate with it to produce fertile offspring. But there is a subspecies of Homo rationalis called Homo rationalis mysticus.

Grammatically, it is fine.
