@Adrian, I meant to ask you -- do you know a film from the mid-'80s, I think, about society in a bunker after a nuclear holocaust, which I believe was called Arka? I can't find any trace of it on the internet, but the search isn't helped by the fact that someone inconsiderately make another film of the same name in 2007, which overwhelms the results. It wasn't a particularly brilliant film, but it seems to have vanished without a trace, which is curious. I saw it the same year I saw Yesterday, which is from 1985. But there are references to that film all over the place. It's possible that I've remembered the name of the film wrongly, but I was pretty sure of it.

Krystyna Janda was in that, and I didn't remember? You can see why I so rarely watch films. They're wasted on me.

Yep, that's it. And while I was prepared to have misremembered the title, I find it hard to believe that I could have forgotten the one it apparently has, because it would have puzzled me. Does 'o-bi, o-ba' have any wider meaning? There isn't much in Wiki about the film, but if it had been retitled at some point, that's the sort of thing they'd put in.

"o-bi, o-ba" doesn't mean anything in Polish, I have absoultely no idea if these are some sort of abbrevations or not.
I'll tag @Matthaeus , perhaps he can decypher it.

I didn't know if it was random nonsense syllables, or maybe an allusion to a children's rhyme or the like. But the point is that if it had had that title when I saw it, I can't understand why it didn't make an impression on me, because it's the sort of thing I would want to know the significance of, assuming it had any. As I'm doing now.

Dzisiaj w Polsce jest obchodzone święto narodowe - Narodowe Święto Niepodległości (wskutek 3 Rozbioru, Polska zniknęła z mapy Europy; dzięki poświęceniu wielu pokoleń polek i polaków odzyskała niepodległość w 1918 roku)

Today Poland celebrates it's National Independence Day (as a result of The Third Partition, Poland disappeared from the Map of Europe, it is thanks to commitment and sacrifice of many generations of Poles it regained it's independence in 1918).

Dzień Niepodległości w Katowicach. W takie święto trzeba wyjść z domu960 × 575

Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła kiedy my żyjemy,
co nam obca przemoc wzięła szablą odbierzemy.

Poland has not yet perished,
So long as we still live.
What the foreign force has taken from us,
We shall with sabre retrieve.

Lubię twórczość Kazimierza Przerwy-Tetmajera
I like works of Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer.

"Lubię, kiedy kobieta"

Lubię, kiedy kobieta omdlewa w objęciu,
kiedy w lubieżnym zwisa przez ramię w przegięciu,
gdy jej oczy zachodzą mgłą, twarz cała blednie
i wargi się wilgotne rozchylą bezwiednie.

Lubię, kiedy ją rozkosz i żądza oniemi,

zwalcza ją, a sycenie żądzy oszalenia,
gdy szuka ust, a lęka się słów i spojrzenia.

Lubię to -- i tę chwilę lubię, gdy koło mnie
wyczerpana, zmęczona leży nieprzytomnie,
a myśl moja już od niej wybiega skrzydlata
w nieskończone przestrzenie nieziemskiego świata.

"I like it when a woman"
I like it when a woman faints in an embrace,
when she falls on my shoulders and I see her face
growing pale, when her eyes get covered with mist
and her moist lips just long to be kissed.

I like it when lust and pleasure take her away,
when she claws her fingers, this much I'll say,
as her breaths are quick, and not one bit deep,
she gives herself with a smile that she wants to keep.

And I like this shame which always forbids her
to admit that pleasure is making her eager,
that passion takes over in search for my lips
as she fears words and glances, not my finger tips.

I like it all - as well as the moment
when she is exhausted, tired and spent
and my thoughts are flying high to the sky,

to angelic world beyond reach of human eye.
