Keep The Faith

Hi,

Can I confirm that the accurate translation for 'keep the faith' is 'fidem serva'. More commonly put as 'serva fidem', is it accurate either way?

It's for a tattoo so I really appreciate your expertise, I have a huge interest in latin but I'm a real novice at these things.

It is correct, assuming that you are only speaking to one person.

And, I prefer serva fidem since it is a command. And, at least in my Latin experience, it is more correct to have the imperative placed first.

Also, thanks for the extra info. The reason I asked is because it is written on my grandad's old school blazer as 'fidem serva', but everywhere I've looked online or in books has listed the seemingly more common translation 'serva fidem'. So just to clarify, both versions are correct grammatically, but the latter is the more popular way of saying it?

Precisely Latin fluid word order is used for emphasis, but, technically, it does not make a sentence incorrect.
