I loved the Gallic Wars.
Congratulations for that. I think I liked it in the beginning, but after a while I found the continuous descriptions of battles tiresome. Maybe I will like it better the second time; I sometimes do that.

When I read the Gallic Wars, I found the chapter (VI?) where he writes about the customs of the Gauls to be quite a relief from the long war story.
I'm reading the Gallic Wars now. I thought the passage about the bridge over the Rhine to be interesting. It was way more detailed than I would have expected. Caesar was obviously very proud of that bridge.
