As in macte nova virtute puer sic itur ad astra.

I've seen translations such as "bravo", "hurrah", and whatnot. But, really, is there any way to translate it so that it doesn't look completely awkward in English?

'Praise be to your newfound valor' is how I would usually put that anglice

Ah, now we have two good translations:

"Praise be to your newfound valor, child. Thus may you go to the stars."

"Awesome new manliness, man. You could, like, go to the stars that way."

Those, too. I'm concerned, though, by the unnaturalness of "new manliness"... but I suppose that's the way it has to be.

I think this should make a good signature.

Thanks, both of you!

how about awesomeness?
And with that, to avoid repetition, we could use "sweet" instead of awesome. "Sweet new awesomeness, bro".

But what would we do with "new"? It sounds odd.

How 'bout "brand spankin' new"? Kinda verbose, but more communicative than a dry "new", I agree.
