Maud/Matilda/Walter?

Both of these document fragments refer to the same person of the 'de Gaddesby' family. One was transcribed by the National Archives as 'Maud' (often used interchangeably with Matilda!).

Can someone with more experience than myself, please confirm this is the case or could it be Walter?

You're lucky with this document in that it has a selection of W's and M's to compare. Top line Westm' and Mich'is, line 2 a couple of Mag'ro . Upper and lower case W's are the same, see Edward in line 2 and a couple of words starting warant' . Upper case M's have a descender on the last minim, lower case ones don't.
