Relative clauses may have additional sentiments beyond their mere relative sense ... in all languages. In English, this isn't really expressed by a change in grammar, but by the mere semantics of the sentence. E.g. The man who had shot the old woman was punished with death = he was punished because he had shot the old woman.

In Latin, additional sentiments in relative clauses are usually indicated by the subjunctive. The subjunctive may indicate a concessive, causal, final or consecutive (or "characteristic") sentiment.

In your case, you have a clause that expresses a characteristic.

non sum is qui inimicos meos interficiam = non talis sum ut inimicos meos interficiam.
