Tattoo slave of false hope

Hi,

I was hoping one of you could help me translate something for a tattoo.
as mentioned in the title, the text im hoping to get translated is "(a) slave of false hope" (male).
w hat i mean by that is feeling compelled (slave) to follow something through (hope), knowing it's futile(false).
i realize it might be hard to get an accurate translation without changing the english words to be translated, that would be fine.

If i'd wanted to add "so easily forgotten" after that, in reference to the first sentence, would "facile oblivione" work?

Is it the "false hope" that's "so easily forgotten", or is it the slave? Or something else, like the fact that the hope is false, or the fact that one is a slave to it?

I need to know because the translation will differ.
