I am not an expert at post mediaeval calligraphy, but the use of a round hand would suggest after about 1660, and before early 20th century. Some more information on the provenance might help to narrow things down.
'Edin' may be Edinburgh. It's probably unwise to guess who Joseph or Archibald are at this stage; I know an Archie in Glasgow whose picture hangs in the many pubs he's been barred from, but this is probably a red herring.

Another question... At the bottom of the full page it says....T Finio than below it Finio thesis A Goodliv?? Or am I spelling it wrong.. tried to translate it..doesn't work..It's not a name?
I know finio means the end...
The signature doesn't make sense..Doesn't add up to who the sender was...That's why I thought A Good let was Latin for something else, not a name.
It's a stretch but I thought Joseph might be Joseph Priestley...
