It's been years since I studied Latin but use many term regularly. I'm trying to remember a cool phrase/abbreviation that I heard one time. It was something to the effect of "end of story" or "enough said". It was used in a militay context. Any ideas? :wondering:

Thanks in advance.

This is a WAG, but could this have been Q.E.D. or Quod Erat Demonstrandum? It literally means "Which was to be proved", and appears often at the end of math/geometrical proofs.

I think it's sometimes used more generally after someone makes any argument/assertion to mean something like "enough said".

Sorry, but I am familiar with Q.E.D. The quote/pharse/abbreviation I am trying to remember was more to the effect of... "there will be no more discussion on this matter".

Hmmm...how about Consummatum est - "It is finished", Christ's last words on the cross (John 19:30)? Or Factum est (factum) - "(what's) done is done". Otherwise I have no idea...

Could it be "Roma locuta, causa finita est"?
