That's true. I've been thinking that it should perhaps be possible to make two kinds of users here. One for those who study/know latin and want to join for that sake, and one, more temporary, for those who just want to ask about one thing... Tattoos, slogans and whatnot. I don't know if that's doable at all.

Then a short list of the most basic rules for posting might be required to be read and accepted upon joining, perhaps. Very short and concrete. Tacitus-style ;)

Just some thoughts.

I'm now intrigued by the ban on commercial signatures, and the mysterious reference to linking to websites that sell signatures and do other things that are too awful to be described. A brief google tells me that the language is similar to that found in a book about managing online forums, so presumably it was either taken from there or is the standard legal phrase used to forbid such depravity. But I don't know what it is. It must be something more than having a signature that links to a commercial site, because there's no need for specialist websites to sell this sort of thing. But what are these sites selling in the way of signatures?
