Veritas, cur me persequeris?
Truth, why do you persecute me?
It’s my nephew’s school motto, he was telling me, but seemingly, it's actually two mottoes: "Veritas" of the Domicans and "Cur me persequeris ?" of the Eustache family who gave the land (after the St. Eustace meeting the stag story (you know Durer’s engraving probably))
And then, I think:
Acts of the Apostles 22.7 (Paul on the road to Tarsus)
Saule , Saule, cur me persequeris ?
But I think I prefer it as one sentence, an address to truth.
