My Strength. My Life. My Family

Post Maltesestar Mon Feb 08, 2010 12:39 am

Hey Guys,

Need a quote translated for an upcoming tattoo.

I've done some online translation but would rather trust you guys.

"My Strength. My Life. My Family."

In reference to my family, I mean my immediate family.

Thanks!

Here goes (note that I am a novice in translating):
Vis meum. Vita mea. Familia mea.

Please wait for others to reply first.
I am also known as Iohannes Aureus (John the Golden), though Aurum is used as my surname as Gold.

Proper context and perfect grammar are necessary for me to translate correctly, and I reserve the right to ask for additional context and/or revision!

Vis is feminine
Num prohibere licet pellem compungere uerbis?
Lex foedare homines non uetat ulla cutem.
Mutata decoris quosdam post mente pigebit:
„Lex utinam pungi me uetuisset acu!“

This will be interesting:
Vis mea. Vita mea. Familia mea.

By coincidence, all is feminine.
I am also known as Iohannes Aureus (John the Golden), though Aurum is used as my surname as Gold.

Proper context and perfect grammar are necessary for me to translate correctly, and I reserve the right to ask for additional context and/or revision!

Hey guys,

Thanks for the translations so far.

Would I be right to go with the fourth post "Vis mea. Vita mea. Familia mea."?

I'm looking at getting the tattoo within the next week or two.
