Besides Jerome's Vulgate version in Latin, are there any other author whose work of translation is precisely or, at least, close to classical Latin, once Jerome's is a little bit medieval?
There is also Erasmus's version of the New Testament. I haven't read much of it, but my guess is it's probably a bit more classical than the Vulgate without being quite as classical as Erasmus's original works.
