fortitudo ab unitas

Hello Everyone:

I am very poorly versed in latin and came across this saying on a logo for a company

"fortitudo ab unitas"

The only place I have been able to find this saying is for some pirates game. Anyone who can tell me if this is an actual saying and/or if this is proper Latin.

Ab governs the ablative. So if we want to say "from unity" we must say ab unitate, rather than "ab unitas".

If what is meant is "strength from unity", fortitudo ab unitate would I think be OK, fortitudo in unitate better, and fortitudo ex unitate best of all.

What do others think?
