Help needed to translate names

Richard L

New Member

Hi, I am looking at translation the following English names into Roman/Latin Names

Richard = Ricardus
Tina - ?????
Tamar - ??????
Jack - Jacobus

Surname Leppard - ????

I would like the names in Roman/Latin charactures if possible. Did look at a Roman/Latin alaphabet and I ran away :0

Tis is for a coffee table I am making and these are to go around the aprons, so it will be unique (i have posted in another thread)

Many thanks again for any help offered.

Tamar is Hebrew, and I don't know if it has an authentic Latin form.

There are quite a number of people who are better known as Jack but are legally John. An example include the late Jack Layton, whose legal name is John Gilbert Layton.

Indeed, Tamar appears in the books of Genesis, of Ruth, the second book of Kings, the second book of Samuel, the first book of Chronicles, the prophecy of Ezekiel, the Gospel according to St Matthew, and, outside the Bible, in the Epistulae of St Jerome as Thamar.
