There's a latin phrase I can't interpret, maybe you can help me?
Admirabiliorem ajunt fuisse Davidem ignoscendo Sauli, quam vincendo Goliam

I don't get why is "quam", is it a contrasting "than"? If so, where is the comparative?

Goliam - is "Goliath" in accusative, I suppose

Assuming this is a medieval text, could it be they say that David, about to be forgiven by Saul, was more astonishing (admirabiliorem) than Goliath who was about to be defeated.

Admirabiliorem

He was more admirable they say when he was forgiving Saul than when he was kicking Golaias ass.
