Ukranian as well. I some times watch shows in Ukranian. It does not take much time to acclimate to Slavic groups/dialects.

Even easier for me are Turkic language dialects/groups. Pretty much every Turkic language is like 90% intelligible.

Holy shit that's rad. I never really knew how close they are. I really like the way Tajik sounds & to see it written in Cyrillic.

Jenkuya but niep dobzre, I fear.

When I left my run in my old job I lost my Polish mate. Not sure if I'll get the opportunity again but for a while (around 6 months) my spoken Polish was at a level wherein I could shoot the breeze with other Poles in the factories I delivered to in a basic manner. Forgotten most of it now though as it was over a year ago I lost that run.

Yak shi mash, boyz. Dobzre everyone, niep, tac?

Unfortunately my skills lie in spoken Polish but I'll watch this thread keenly.
This reminds me: why does the character 'Borat' salute people in Polish? Isn't he supposed to be from Kazakhstan? Or is that part of the joke?

I have much to learn = [Mam jeszcze dużo do nauki / Dużo nauki przede mną] or more colloquially Muszę się jeszcze dużo nauczyć

Definitely a joke. Also in US movies actors playing russians always toast with "Na zdrowie!" - this is Polish. I am not sure if Russians use such expression like на здоро́вье! I would rather expect За здоровье! or За наше здоровье!
