That's trueBecause Papa Giovanni didn't lisp
We're in the same group of languages and I don't understand it either Just a few isolated words.I've listened to it before a couple of times but never understood a single word. At least with subtitles I understand what it means. I assume he used in Poland in lithurgical offices. However, fisher of men makes sense since the Pope has the bespoken "Anulus piscatoris" to seal documents and for people to direct kisses there so they don't drool over his fingers.
I don't understand Croatian or Polish, but I perused the lyrics and they seem two totally different songs. I thought the two languages were more similar.I know how it goes in Croatian (it's popular here in liturgy) but otherwise, I wouldn't know.
Oops I might have omitted something from Polish version (which only shows how different it is). Now it should be better - Polish lyrics followed by Croatian:I don't understand Croatian or Polish, but I perused the lyrics and they seem two totally different songs. I thought the two languages were more similar.
That's interesting. The story of this song is more complicated than I thought!always thought that was a Spanish hymn.
