I'm having trouble translating the phrase in bold:
ἐπ᾽ἐκφορὰν γὰρ αὐτῇἀκολουθήσασα ἡἐμὴ γυνὴὑπὸ τούτου τοῦἀνθρώπου ὀφθεῖσα, χρόνῳ διαφθείρεται:
I've translated it literally as 'while attending/following her (ie the speaker's dead mother) at her funeral procession, my wife...'
So I've taken αὐτῃ to be dative governed by ἀκολουθεω.
However, many translations I've seen render it 'In attending her funeral procession...' - but I think, if i'm right, this is not literal, and my translation is correct?
