can names be translated into Latin?
or just an approximation?
would love to translate my daughterss name.
Alexa Carolina, and also Maritza

I think that they are both fine as they are, but you can expand "Alexa" to "Alexandra" and maybe drop the T from Maritza - the Z in Latin sounds like "ts" by itself.

Edit - I did a little research, and I found out that "Maritza" is derived from "Marissa" or "Maria". You can use either one of those if you want to use a classical(?) name, but I think that it's fine as it is.

It's not really possible to "translate" names. We could give ancient Roman equivalents, I suppose, but what's the point?

Alexa is short for Alexandra, as well.
