I read the first option somewhere, and, though it didn't sound wrong to me, it occurred to me that I would probably have put it differently — as in the second option. Then I wondered if I was wrong and thought I'd ask what people on here think.

Not sure what to vote for ... intuitively, the second option sounds better to me, but I find option 1 kind of acceptable.

I'm crap at grammar as it is so any injustices (like above) are almost like a double-injustice to me.

Second option sounds way better to me though I guess the first option works as well and I think they mean slightly different things
